In his previous company, Pentester Academy, Vivek Ramachandran worked closely with red teams across Fortune 500 companies, enterprises, and government agencies where he witnessed a stark reality: attackers were increasingly bypassing enterprise security tools like EDRs and SASE/SSE and the browser was becoming the most common initial access point. This wasn’t merely a tactical shift by attackers. It signaled a profound evolution security tools had missed: thw browser had silently transformed from a simple website render into a complex application where the modern workforce performs the majority of critical tasks, from handling sensitive data in the cloud to accessing enterprise SaaS applications. Yet, the browser still remains fundamentally unprotected.

Thus, together with a small core team, Vivek set out to revolutionize browser security by building SquareX, the industry’s first Browser Detection and Response (BDR) solution. SquareX provides critical protection against a wide range of browser security threats, including malicious browser extensions, advanced spearphishing, browser-native ransomware, GenAI DLP, and more.
